2021 Arboretum
It
was
decided
on
zoom
meeting
that
the
first
meeting
of
International
Submariners
Association
as
the
country
open
up.
We
would
pay
our
respect
to
Submariners
that
had
crossed
the
bar.
So
our
first
meeting
was
in
Lichfield
as
it
close
to
Arboretum.
Lichfield
situated
about
7
mile
from
the
National
Arboretum
so
a
good
place
to
stay
if
you’re
heading
to
it.
Its
a
small
Cathedral
City
with
plenty
to
see
and
do
and
if
you
like
antique
shops
this
is
the
place.
We
visited
the
Arboretum
to
pay
our
respects
to
the
Submarine
Memorial
and
had
a
tot
for
absent
friends.
Later
we
sat
in
the
grounds
and
listened
to
the
Pipes
and
Drums
of
the
Royal
Artillery
which
just
happened
to
be
visiting
very
pleasant
as
well.
We
had
a
good
evening
on
the
Saturday
and
made
plans
to
meet
each
other
on
a
more
regular
basis
and
hopefully
have
new members join us.
