In November 2011,
we went to Studley Castle, near Redditch for the weekend.
Last year we were knee deep in snow. The weather was much kinder this year -
The hotel was beautifully set in its own grounds. Friday evening the Ladies held their meeting. The Ladies had been working hard creating table decorations for the dinner, ensuring the dinner went smoothly.
Saturday morning we held our Members meeting, which finishes about mid day. Some of us went into Redditch shopping, some took walks around the beautiful countryside, and some stayed in the Hotel and chatted to shipmates, ensuring the bar was profitable. Saturday evening, the Ladies dressed in their finery, the men in formal dress. Eric Simons presided over the Tot, making sure none of us cheated by supping more than we were allowed!
The table decorations gave history of Trafalgar Night. After the meal entertainment was laid on until the small hours.

Entertainment following our meal on Trafalgar Night. He sang, we sang, we danced, and we ensured the bar staff were kept busy!
