usual
we
changed
areas
for
the
meeting
and
this
time
it
was
Portsmouth
so
people
who
live
down
here
are
comfortable
to
join
the
meetings
if
unable
to
travel.
Meeting
held
in
the
Queens
Hotel
Southsea
where
we
celebrated
Trafalgar
night
and
next
evening
had
Christmas
dinner
which
included
quizzes
and
Christmas
presents.
We
were
very
happy
to
welcome
new
members
from
the
West
of
Scotland.
During
the
day
everyone
did
different
activities,
some
went to the Historic Dockyard while others went for a drink or rested in the Hotel.
Another good meeting and looking forward to the next meeting which will be
held in a different country this time Sweden on Karlskrona Island.
The submariners have their own memorial and always hold
their Rememberance Service one week pior to the Cenotaph
Service.These four photos depict the learner submariners,
the serving submariners and the veteran submariners as well as
James Blakely laying our wreath.
November 2019 we had a meeting in the Double Tree by Hilton in Cambridge.
British International meetings take place three times a year in different areas of the
UK and we try and hold them in Hotels at reasonable discounted prices to include
bed breakfast and evening meals.
Usually on the third meeting the first night celebrates Trafalgar and then the secon
night we have a Christmas Dinner. There’s always a raffle and an easy quiz to get
into the festive sprit.
